Madrid Day Tour

(Day 1) Welcome to the Eternal City

A private car will take you from the airport to your sensational hotel located in one of the more exclusive area of the city.

After you check in, you’ll have the rest of day free to explore the city on your own. Enjoy the city’s vibrant energy and do as the Romans do! Any time of day is the right time to experience “la dolce vita” as the Italians call the “sweet life.” In the evening try the original Carbonara spaghetti in one of the renowned “trattorie”.

(Day 2) Treasures of Rome

This is your second day in Rome and you are already thinking you could spend the rest of your life here. Together with your private guide you will discover the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, Spain and Navona squares. After a delicious break in one of the main lounge bars, you walk through via Condotti, via Borgognona, via Frattina, which are the most famous streets for international brands shopping. Late in the afternoon you will take a funny cooking class with an Italian chef in order to learn how to prepare delicious dishes.

(Day 3) Vatican city- Flight to Paris

After a rich breakfast and some perfumed cappuccino, you will walk through charming streets that will lead you at the Vatican city. Your tour includes an in-depth introduction to the Vatican art collection as well as the awe-inspiring architecture of St. Peter’s Basilica. By the time you reach the Sistine Chapel, you’ll have the context to truly appreciate the cultural and artistic climate that allowed Michelangelo to create the remarkably detailed and beautiful “Last Judgment” ceiling painting. The tour concludes with a visit to the breathtakingly immense Saint Peter’s Basilica, the vast church that is the symbolic heart of Catholicism.

(Day 4) Discovering the Ville Lumiere-Paris

So as to make you familiar with the frantic activity of Paris, you will be taken to the heart of Paris where together with your expert guide you start visiting la “ville lumiere” and its jewels.

Climb the majestic Eiffel tower for admiring the city and discover the Louvre and the Tuileries districts and walk on Champs Elysees the most famous boulevard in the world. You will have lunch in one of the Louvre restaurants where you will enjoy an exceptional setting and original French gourmet food. No doubt that you will be enthusiastic about the Louvres marvels. From the portrait of Mona-Lisa of Leonardo Da Vinci Vinci to the painting July, 28: liberty leading the people of Eugène Delacroix, you will have a glimpse of arts that made world history and culture! Do not hesitate to stroll freely around the Tuileries gardens and the famous shopping street Rue de Rivoli after the Louvres museum. In the evening the spectacular cabaret at the amazing Moulin Rouge will make unique your dinner.

( Day 5) Parisian masterpieces

After tasting an original French croissant, you begin a new day discovering a very different environment: Montmartre village.

Your guide will take you through this district well known for its pleasantness and quietness for strolling and its French Art de Vivre. Your guide will share about the life and secrets of artists and craftsmen that made the village a unique and amazing place in Paris. You will visit the Sacré Coeur basilica on top of the Montmartre hill often captured in movies. After having a traditional French lunch in the neighborhood, you will join the Opera district and will visit the Opéra Garnier where are played/hosted the most famous operas. After the visit, you will have time to wander on “Les grands boulevards” where are located the most famous Parisian shops such as Printemps or Galeries Lafayette. In the evening you will experience an exception dinner on a modern boat. The restaurant boat is designed to ensure that all passengers have a fantastic view of the city’s sights, with all tables arranged next to the large bay windows.

(Day 6)  Amazing Versailles-Madrid

This morning together with your private car, you make a fantastic experience visiting the Chateau of Versailles with its amazing palace and splendid gardens. No doubt that you will be transported by the magnificence of the former royal estate from the world known Hall of Mirrors to strolling about the several water fountains, and from wandering in the royal lanes to escaping in one of the added estates such as the Trianon. In the afternoon your private car will accompany you to the airport.

(Day 7) The vibrant city of Madrid

The perfumed aromas of the rich Madrilenian breakfast will prepare your soul for a thrilling visit to the Palacio Real, the largest palace in Europe, containing over 2,800 rooms.

Plaza Mayor the heart of the city’s vibrant life, combining the classic architecture with the drama of Spain’s emotional past. Just a short walk from here, there is Puerta del Sol, one of the best-known and busiest places in Madrid. This is the centre of the radial network of Spanish roads (Km 0) that contains the famous clock whose bells mark the traditional eating of the Twelve Grapes at the beginning of a New Year. A must see is Mercado de San Miguel, the last remaining iron market hall in Madrid and a historic and monumental market. This area has unique personality and culinary shopping, cultural and entertainment options. It reflects the gastronomical plurality of Spain where you can taste all the best of gastronomy while enjoy recitals and concerts. In the evening enjoy a wonderful culinary dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant.

(Day 8) Madrid’ s Jewels

A tearoom straight out of a fairy tale greets you on the top floor Bachiller shop where you can start your day with a delicious coffee.

Your guide will be pleased to show you the masterpieces kept in Museo del Prado. Housed in a gigantic neo-classical building begun, the Prado is Madrid’s best-known museum famous for its variety of paintings that reflect royal tastes and political alliances from the 15th to the 17th centuries and Treasures of the Grand Dauphin. A relaxing walk through the famous Parc El Retiro allows you to admire different faces of the capital and learn about the most important historical facts, cultural background, current developments and social life. Later in the afternoon the beauty of what Spanish consider as a true masterpiece will enchant you. Considered to be one of the most important cultural institutions in Spain, the Teatro Real has managed to become one of the main opera houses in the world. You will be able to do an art tour- and have the chance to step onto the stage, see the rehearsal rooms, access the Royal Box, visit the luxurious dressing rooms and enjoy an opera or concert representation.

(Day 9) Free time-Return home

Since the beginning of this wonderful journey, you have absorbed the variety of diffent cultures and countries tastes for which Spain is internationally known. After taking your breakfast, you have time for a short tour before meeting your private transfer to Madrid International airport for return flight.
