(Day) 1: Arrival in Paris
A private car will take you from the airport to your sensational hotel located in one of the most exclusive area of the city. After you check in, you’ll have the rest of day free to explore the city on your own.
(Day 2): Paris downtown attractions
So as to make you familiar with the frantic activity of Paris, you will be taken to the heart of Paris, Ile de la Cité, the island where everything started. Among the architecture marvels built on it, you will see the famous cathedral Notre Dame de Paris and the justice palace.
From this place, you will discover the other side of the bank on which you will be taken in crossing the Seine on one of the famous bridges of Paris. The Tuileries district is famous for the Louvres museum and its pyramid and the pleasant and cosy gardens located between the museum and the Concorde square.
An expert guide will accompany you at your pace during the afternoon through the discovery of the Louvres and the Tuileries district. You will have lunch in one of the Louvre restaurant where you will enjoy an exceptional setting and original French gourmet food. No doubt that you will be enthusiastic about the Louvres marvels. From the portrait of Mona-Lisa of Leonardo Da Vinci to the painting July, 28: liberty leading the people of Eugène Delacroix, you will have a glimpse of arts that made world history and culture! Do not hesitate to stroll freely around the Tuileries gardens and the famous shopping street Rue de Rivoli after the Louvres museum.
After the delight of these wonderful historical building, this is towards another but more recent masterpiece that you will get to see: the legendary Eiffel tower. Built on the Champ de Mars in the 7th district, the Iron Lady overlooks the capital city. From the upper floors, accessible from lifts, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the booming city. To make this sky escape perfect, we invite you to continue the visit at the Champagne bar located on the last floor, where you can taste a variety of selected champagnes. Soft drinks will also be offered for non-alcohol drinkers.
Upon your request, dinner can be organized in one of the Eiffel tower restaurant (58 or Jules Verne restaurant) where you can enjoy one of the best gastronomic French foods, please have in mind to ask as early as possible as an early booking might be necessary.
(Day 3): Dreaming Montmartre village – Opéra Garnier
This is a very different environment where you will continue your Paris itinerary: Montmartre village.
A guide will take you through this district well known for its pleasantness and quietness for strolling and its French Art de Vivre. Your guide will share about the life and secrets of artists and craftmen that made the village a unique and amazing place in Paris. You will visit the Sacré Coeur basilica on top of the Montmartre hill often captured in movies. Take the time to wander on “Les grands boulevards” where are located the most famous Parisian shops such as Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.
Late in the afternoon, you will join the Opera district and visit the Opéra Garnier where are played/hosted the most famous operas.
Upon your wish, we offer you or to attend an Opéra Garnier performance or to spend the night in one mythic cabaret of Paris.
(Day 4): Versailles
Few miles away from Paris center, Chateau de Versailles with its amazing palace and splendid gardens is a must to see. No doubt that you will be transported by the magnificence of the former royal estate from the world known Hall of Mirrors to strolling about the several water fountains, and from wandering in the royal lanes to escaping in one of the added estates such as the Trianon.
Day 5: Oh Champs Elysées …
As you could not leave Paris without strolling on Champ Elysées a last time, your chauffeur will take you on the famous avenue from the Concorde to Charles de Gaulle square, almost 2 km long. To your liking, you could shop in the most famous brands, visit one of the numerous palaces or simply have a cup of tea in one the splendid Parisian cafés.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Dijon, capital city of Burgundy.
(Day 6): The Best of Burgundy gastronomy
Whether you are already or not familiar with Burgundy gastronomy, this first day will be dedicated to the discovery of Burgundy food and wine.
The morning will be dedicated to the visit of Dijon city center, including a stop-by to taste some Dijon food specialties such as truffles and snails.
Your second itinerary in the afternoon will take the direction of Beaune, a city famous for its vineyards and wine trade
To your liking, a wine degustation and dinner will take place in a wine cellar selected by ourselves. Possibility to purchase wine bottles on site.
(Day 7): Burgundy scenery
After a day of gastronomy discovery, we invite during your 2nd day in Burgundy to take the time to visit the museum Parc Alesia so as to get a glimpse about Burgundy history and understand what has made the uniqueness of the region. After having fun in the museum parc, enjoy an exciting tour in one hot-air balloon which will allow to contemplate the view of wide vineyards and beautiful landscapes making Burgundy so wonderful and peaceful.
Discover the Chateau Pommard and its famous vineyards where you experience the visit the wine cellar while degustating several Pommard wines.
Transfer to Lyon
(Day 8): Lyon city tour
Lyon famous for its gastronomy and its French “art de vivre” is a must to see. Set up between two rivers, Rhone and Saone you will see that you are never far from water and the several bridges built to connect the peninsula to the main land. Be surprised by the dynamism and cheerful environment of this main French city, important for its historical and economical roles. You will start the day with a tour of Lyon city, where a professional guide will take you to the several districts that have made Lyon along the centuries. From the Old Lyon (Saint Jean) to the Plateau of la Croix-Rousse, you will discover about the traditions and secret places of the city such as the Traboules, covered tunnel used for silk trading.
(Day 9): Lyon by the rivers and cooking lesson
Begin this new day by a river boat tour on Saône so as to get banks sceneries only observable from the river- possibility to have it private-
After this water getaway, you are invited to the institute Paul Bocuse, founded by the famous chef Paul Bocuse himself where you will learn how to cook famous French dishes while tasting what you have prepared in company with the chefs.
(Day 10): Art in Lyon
Discover the exceptional Museum of Beaux-Arts located on Terreaux square. This museum contains a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, art objects from Antiquity period to Renaissance periods. You will have free time before your transfer to Paris by train, where your departure to home is organized.
